Creatomatic Ltd

With business support and grant funding from the CXProject, this company was able to set up a high street presence and invest in more marketing activity. By their 1st birthday the business employed 5 staff.

Kit Allen and James Miodonski founded Creatomatic in August 2012. Freelance designers and SEO specialists respectively, they were increasingly frustrated at the limitations of working remotely from home and decided to pool their skills and resources to create a small web design, development and marketing company.

Working hard paid off, and the company went from employing a single designer to a full-time team of five people by the company's first birthday. Their client base now reaches from Annan, throughout Dumfries & Galloway to major clients in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London and even New York.

The company is enthusiastic and committed to providing an extremely professional and competitive service. James explains: 'With the exception of Kit and myself, the team are all young graduates - so there's a real feeling of passion for what we do, with the added bonus of our experience in the industry'.

Kit said 'There were a couple of hoops to jump through, but the CXProject grant process was relatively easy, and a huge help to us starting up.'

John Grierson, Site Director at Magnox Chapelcross said "It's great to see a young business doing so well and providing opportunities for talented graduates. This is exactly what the CXProject is about, helping to encourage new businesses to start and provide opportunities to keep the skills base in the Annandale & Eskdale area."
